Today I am playing a Polish organ with the 1800’s arrangement of the 1100’s hymn Christ is arisen in 2021 using an electronic keyboard and a computer. Truly if Christ were not risen, then the world would be lost.

Easter music is more than “Christ the Lord is risen” or “Up from the gravy”. Today we have the trumpets announcing the Spring of Saints today! Today is the day our God has made – Let us be joyful in it.

Mark Hayes gives the traditional “Sunday after Easter” hymn a brilliant arrangement including the trumpet fanfares to welcome the Conquering Hero.

Growing up the churches in the area held a join Good Friday worship service from noon to 3. The sermons were based on the 7 last words of Christ. Today’s video highlights those last words. Take the time today to reflect on the sacrifice of Jesus.

Tonight we remember Jesus’ last meal, prayer in the garden, arrest and trials. We are using an online Tenebae format with the light going out of the world. May God bless you.
