Today was have another favourite hymn this time arranged by Dale Wood and played by Dale Burkholder.

Today the trumpets announce the arrival of Jesus the Christ, the Ruler of All, Arranged by Jerry Ray and played by Dale Burkholder.

There is a thin line between arranger and pianist. In this favourite song Dale Burkholder has completely erased it. May you walk with Jesus to that peaceful shore….

Much of how we sing hymns can be traced back to Martin Luther. The words to today’s musical selection were written by Martin Luther and set in a Fugue setting by Andreas Armsdoff (1670-1699). Played by Dale Burkholder

This was a fun project and the results were very very imaginative. Dale improvising on a 8 measure melody provided by Jason W. Krug. Part of a webinar challenge.

Gordon Young paints a unique view of Psalm 23. Starting with “Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death” he leads us to the “still water” and “green pastures”. In this journey our souls are restored. Truely “He leadeth me”….

This arrangement of How Great Thou Art (By Albert Zabel) is more of a walk though nature than the celebration hymn we are more familiar with.

With today’s visit we take a walk along the shores of Lake Erie near Kingsville and Leamington. Although the tune is “Deep River” I think it works. The arranger is an comporary African-American composer – Aldophus Hailstork. I hope you enjoy this time of rest.
